Dr. Julie Curley
Dr. Julie Curley is an experienced supervisor for provisional registered psychologists in Alberta. She completed a qualitative doctoral project on “Supervisees’ Experiences of Barriers to Disclosure Within Supervision”. Her strong commitment to continuing education also includes completion of a continuing education course through the University of Calgary on clinical supervision, and academic courses during her Psy.D. focusing on clinical supervision. Her commitment to continued competency and training in a supervisor role is clear.
 
 Dr. Curley practices competency-based supervision usings a strengths-based perspective and she works to develop a positive, safe, supervisory relationship to assist the provisional in becoming ready for independent practice as a registered psychologist. She is trained in EMDR, ACT, IPT, EFT and Gottman; she generally works with clients from an attachment lens. In private practice, Dr. Curley’s’ clients include adults and couples. Her previous career as a teacher and school counsellor in the Alberta school system provided her with experience in working with school aged children and adolescents. Currently she is providing in-person, online and group supervision
The Psychologists’ Association of Alberta (PAA) is approved by the Canadian Psychological Association (CPA) to offer Continuing Education (CE) for psychologists. This workshop is offered for one (1.0) hour of CE Credit. Full attendance at the workshop is required to receive Continuing Education Credits. Partial credit will not be awarded, and late arrivals or early departure will preclude awarding of Continuing Education Credits. PAA maintains responsibility for the program.
